Dr. Alfred Bacon is a clinical assistant professor with the department of medicine at Jefferson Medical College. He specializes in infectious disease and internal medicine at Christiana Care Health System where he has been in the infectious disease section since 1987 and serves as medical director of clinical trials with the department of medicine. Dr. Bacon is board-certified in infectious disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Jefferson Medical College and completed an internal medicine residency at Lankenau Hospital and an infectious diseases fellowship at University of Michigan. Dr. Bacon is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and recipient of the ACP Laureate Award, board member and former president of the Delaware Academy of Medicine, and a member of the American Society of Microbiology, New Castle County Medical Society, and Infectious Disease Society of America.
