Dr. Angela Gentili has extensive experience in reviewing guidelines as Chair of the External Guidelines Subcommittee of the Clinical Practice and Model of Care Committee of the American Geriatrics Society. In 2008 she received from the AGS the Special Recognition Award for outstanding service on the Clinical Practice & Model of Care Committee. Dr. Gentili is a clinician educator and has been the Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship Program at VCU since 1997. She was a co-investigator of the Reynolds grant to enhance geriatric education at VCU (2001-06). In 2007 she received the J. D. Markham Faculty Award for Excellence in Teaching from the Department of Internal Medicine, Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.
