Cindy Nissen has been a clinical nurse specialist in adult health and aging since 1984, developing and presenting courses related to variety of chronic disease and wellness topics to professionals, students, and older adults. She is a recently retired clinical instructor for first-year AD students and an adjunct clinical instructor for APN and DNP students in the Rush University College of Nursing, Chicago, IL. Her clinical work has focused on work with patients and families throughout the brain health continuum in a variety of care settings. She is a certified Ageless Grace educator, which is a brain health activity program that uses principles of neuroplasticity. In her retirement, she has become a brain health evangelist bringing the gospel of better brain health to anyone who will listen.
