Dr. Jay Luxenberg is the Chief Medical Officer of On Lok, the prototype Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly and provides comprehensive health care to indigent and low-income nursing home eligible seniors in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was the Chief Medical Officer at the Jewish Home in San Francisco, until 2011. Additionally, he was the Director of the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at University of California, San Francisco until 1996. Dr. Luxenberg currently holds an academic position at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, as a Clinical Professor. He teaches medical students, medical residents, and Geriatric Fellows, as well as lecture at UCSF, Stanford and UC Berkeley. Dr. Luxenberg is the treasurer of the International Psychogeriatrics Association and the editor of The Wave, the newsletter of the California Association of Long Term Care Medicine.
