Lisa Byrd PhD, FNP, GNP, FAANP

Dr. Lisa Byrd has over 25 years of experience in a variety of settings, including clinic, nursing home, assisted living facilities, and hospital. She currently works with two large insurance companies who employ clinicians/practices to see their patients according to best practices and cost-efficient care. For the past 2 years, she also has worked as a practice administrator overseeing four practices (physicians, nurse practitioners, lab, radiology, pharmacy, case managers, and coding departments). Dr. Byrd has presented at national conferences, is widely published, and has served as an editor for GAPNA's section in the Journal of Geriatric Nursing. She has sat on doctoral committees and served as a volunteer with GAPNA's research committee where she has been able to review multiple abstracts. She has also taught master's and doctoral nurse practitioner programs.
