Lory Arquilla-Maltby APN

Lory Arquilla-Maltby received her MSN degree from Loyola University of Chicago in 2003. Shortly after earning her degree she began working in a nursing facility and then became an independent contractor. Her experiences and desire to improve the quality of care in nursing homes lead her to a position at Rush Oak Park hospital. In January 2012, Lory became the coordinator of a transitions in care program for Rush Oak Park hospital and Rush University Medical Center. Working with a team of physicians and another APN, in the last 19 months important progress has been made toward the goals of improving quality of care and decreasing unnecessary hospital readmissions. Lory is here today to talk about a new bridge program she coordinates that is specifically targeted to improve quality of life and reduce hospital readmissions for elders with heart failure.
