Dissemination and Implementation of Function Focused Care (FFC) for Elderly Trauma Patients into an Acute Care Setting:
Acute care trauma nurses were taught a Function Focused Care (FFC) philosophy of care. The philosophy was disseminated throughout the unit in anticipation a unit exposed to FFC training would have shorter lengths of stay, fewer falls, infections, pressure sores, and recidivism within the first month post hospitalization.

Creating a Continuum of Care: Seniors Emergency Center:
Holy Cross Hospital developed the nation's first dedicated eight-bed Seniors Emergency Center. Utilizing an evidence-based risk screening tool and continuum of care follow up, there has been a statistically significant reduction in rates of ER revisit and hospital admission.
