Dr. Peg Ackerman is the Director of Education and Research at Commonwealth Care Alliance Clinical Group, where she is responsible for developing and implementing education programs for nurse practitioners who provide care to fragile homebound elders in a managed care, community-based program working collaboratively with a distributive network of physicians in the greater Boston area. Peg received her BSN at Salem State University; her Master's in nursing at Hunter College in NYC; her certificate in adult primary care and her doctor of nursing practice at MGH School of Nursing. She is also a board certified gerontolgy nurse practitioner. Her research interest is in providing palliative care to fragile seniors to enable them to age in place.
