Mary Jane Favot received her BSN from Mercy College of Detroit, her MSN in Adult Health Nursing from Oakland University, and her Post-Masters Gerontological Nurse Practitioner (GNP) Certificate from the University of Michigan. She is currently working as a GNP with Oakwood Geriatric Associates. She has been a GNP for over 10 years. As President of the Great Lakes Chapter, she has been an active member of the GAPNA Member Services Committee and Leadership Task Force. She co-chaired a planning committee instrumental in establishing and providing an Annual Chapter Conference for three years (2008, 2009, 2010). She represents the Great Lakes Chapter on the Michigan APRN Legislative Coalition and has represented the Chapter at the Annual Conference of the Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners and at Oakland University's Yearly NP Student Network Night. She also has been responsible for establishing the Great Lakes Chapter website and other marketing mediums.
