Me Fuimaono-Poe (May) is a family nurse practitioner with over 20 years of experience in acute care and outpatient settings. In 2016, she opened the first nurse-led cannabis clinic in the state of Hawaii. Since then, she has certified thousands of patients and created individualized dosing plans based on symptoms and current evidence. Me is involved in lobbying at the legislature and has petitioned the state of Hawaii to add more qualifying conditions for cannabis use. She has presented to the Hawaii Senate, House, and the Attorney General about Cannabis and Opiate Use Disorders. She is currently a professor at Pacific College Health and Science in their medical cannabis certificate program. She is the state director for M4MM (Minorities for Medical Marijuana). Me has served on several boards including ACNA (American Cannabis Nurses Association), ACHEM (Association for Cannabis Health and Equity), Cannabis Care Magazine, and the Hawaii Cannabis Hui.
