| Dr. Magno is a nationally recognized gerontological specialist and psychiatric nurse practitioner with 30 years of healthcare experience, including 18 years as an NP across primary care, specialty mental health, long-term care, home-based primary care, and geriatric palliative house calls. She is a National Hartford Gerontological Nursing Distinguished Educator, a Texas Nurse Practitioners “Nurse of the Year” award recipient, and a board commissioner for the Gerontological Nursing Certification Commission. She earned her MSN and DNP degrees from UTHealth Cizik School of Nursing and completed her post-master PMHNP program at Wilkes University. A GAPNA member since 2010 and past Texas chapter president, Dr. Magno is deeply committed to geriatric education, interprofessional practice, and community service, including advocacy for the Alzheimer’s Association. |
