Nancy S. Redeker PhD, RN, FAHA, FAAN

Nancy Redeker is professor and director of the Biobehavioral Laboratory at Yale School of Nursing. She is also the principal investigator of the NIH/NINR-funded Center for Sleep Disturbance in Acute and Chronic Conditions. She has been conducting research on sleep and sleep disorders for over 20 years. She has studied sleep in patients with cardiovascular disease, including heart failure, sleep in the intensive care unit setting, and sleep in primary care settings. Her work has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the American Nurses Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the American Association of Critical Care Nurses. She, with Dr. Geoffry Phillips-McEnany, is the editor of the text Sleep Disorders and Sleep Promotion in Nursing Practice and the editor of Heart & Lung, the Journal of Acute & Critical Care. She serves on the National Advisory Council to the National Institute of Nursing Research.
