Dr. Rita D’Aoust has an extensive history in academic nursing leadership and advanced practice. She has been recognized for her contributions and experience in interprofessional health education, community-based primary care practice and team training, and curriculum development. Prior to her recent appointment at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing, Dr. D’Aoust was the PI on a $2.4 million HRSA Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program at the University of South Florida. Her clinical research includes heart failure of older adults, dementia patient wandering, dementia caregiver health, and quality improvement initiatives in acute care and community settings.
