Suzanne Thorne-Odem DNP, FNP-C

Dr. Suzanne Thorne-Odem has been employed at the Veterans Administration for 32 years and has served in a variety of nursing leadership roles throughout her career.  She has a passion for the care of Veterans, while serving as a strong advocate for the mentally ill and homeless populations.  In addition, Dr. Thorne-Odem has a strong interest in forensic nursing and has served as a Medical Examiner Investigator, as well as, a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner.  Dr. Thorne-Odem serves as the Clinical Practice Program Manager in the VA Office of Nursing Services in Washington, DC.  She also has an interest in health policy and has had the opportunity to be actively involved in the VA’s Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Full Practice Authority journey.  Dr. Thorne-Odem is currently responsible for project management of National FPA implementation throughout the VA.
