Practicing in the post-acute environment requires vigilant awareness of policy and regulatory changes. The goal of this session is to give general overviews of mega rule, MACRA, and their clinician responsibilities. Updates on new billing codes for the SNF/LTC population and reviews of general billing, coding, and documentation principles are provided.

Experienced advanced practice nurse educators identify innovative teaching strategies that are designed to engage students in the classroom, online, and clinical setting. Examples of pedagogical approaches to adopting technologies such as augmented reality, virtual simulation, gaming, digital clinical simulation, distance interprofessional simulation, interactive video software, and creative use of apps are shared. Participants are encouraged to identify technologies that could be used in their advanced practice nursing curriculum.
