The COVID-19 pandemic spans all care settings and illness severity from asymptomatic to critically ill. Often, the patient care setting and plan of care must change as illness presentation fluctuates. This session presents a review of the changing evidence-based pharmacologic care management across settings and illness trajectory.

The CDC recommends routine vaccination throughout life to prevent vaccine-preventable diseases. Older adults are especially vulnerable to communicable diseases and are at higher risk for illness, complications, and disability. APRNs have a duty to understand the role and necessity of recommended vaccines and need to be able to provide comprehensive vaccine information.
