This session discusses the use of adjuvant medications for pain and typical psychotropic medications used for delirium for patients with life-limiting illness in acute and long-term care settings. Discussion includes an overview of the concept of pain, adjuvant pharmacology, and the risks and benefits of adjuvant medications. A delirium toolbox focuses on an overview on delirium, delirium assessment, and current evidence for the pharmacologic treatment of delirium.
