Description

As APRNs move forward with the Consensus Model of practice, which calls for blending of the adult and gerontological curriculum, APRN programs and clinical preceptors need access to resources that maintain the quality of gerontological content. This session explores the development of and resources within a toolbox for gerontological APRN preceptors to promote quality outcomes for education and population outcomes.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss the impact of recent changes in education, national health policy, and population demographics on APRN education and clinical preceptors.
  • Outline the resources in the GAPNA preceptor toolbox and how to access them.
  • Describe how clinical resources promote quality outcomes for APRN education and population outcomes.
