Objectives:
1. Discuss the role of the nurse clinician in evaluation and treatment of high. cholesterol to reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke per the new guidelines. 
2. Review the approach to the older patient with risk for heart attack and stroke.
3. Describe the three high-risk groups and differentiate them from primary prevention where a risk discussion is required before a statin is prescribed.
