Description

This session provides a review and update of identification, evaluation, and treatment regimens for common geriatric dermatoses seen and evaluated by advanced practice nurses.

Objectives:
1. Differentiate between chronologically aged and photo-aged skin.
2. Identify common lesions of the aged skin: cherry angiomas, solar lentigines, seborheic dermatitis , seborrheic keratosis, Grover's disease, and xerosis.
3. Describe the appearance and management of common skin neoplasms, such as keratoacanthoma, Bowen's disease, and basal cell cancer.
4. Compare and contrast the lesions of Favre-Racouchot, pemphigus, pemphigoid, and psoriasis in the older adult.
