Ann Marie Kolanowski PhD, RN, FAAN

Dr. Ann Kolanowski is the Elouise Ross Eberly Professor of Nursing at the School of Nursing and Professor of Psychiatry at the College of Medicine, Penn State University. For the past two decades she has conducted research on factors associated with behavioral symptoms and delirium exhibited by persons with dementia. Her work has been supported by grants from the National Institute of Health, the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Neuroscience Nursing Foundation. She is currently a principal investigator, with Dr. Donna Fick, on a 5-year NIH funded project, “Reserve For Delirium Superimposed on Dementia.” Dr. Kolanowski is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the Gerontological Society of America, and Director of the Hartford Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence at Penn State University.
