Conrad Rios has 30 years of professional experience. Holding both certifications as an FNP and PA for the last 17 years, he has had extensive experience in emergency/urgent care and long-term care settings, as well as academia and hospice. He earned his master’s degree in Nursing at University of California, San Francisco. His FNP and PA certifications are from University of California, Davis. Currently he is enrolled in a PhD program at University of Utah’s Hartford Center for Geriatric Nursing Excellence. He has been in the role of a nurse practitioner for a hospice company in Fresno, CA, since February 2011 and in-patient palliative care since December 2012. He has end-of-life nursing education consortium (ELNEC) training. He is full-time faculty at the Department of Nursing at California State University, Fresno, teaching theory and clinical courses for nurse practitioners in the care of the older adults. He has spoken on numerous occasions to his state and national nurse practitioner organizations.
