Ruth Kleinpell PhD, RN, ACNP, GNP, FAANP

Dr. Ruth Kleinpell is currently the Director of the Center for Clinical Research and Scholarship at Rush University Medical Center and a professor at Rush University College of Nursing. She is certified as an acute care nurse practitioner and a geriatric nurse practitioner and maintains active practice at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago IL. She currently serves as Chair of the International Council of Nursing’s Advanced Practice Nursing Network Education Committee and board member of the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) and the Society of Critical Care Medicine. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing, American College of Critical Care Medicine, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
