Liza Marmo MSN, RN-BC, ANP-C, AGPCNP-C

Liza Marmo is an experienced nurse practitioner who has held leadership and advanced clinical roles. She worked at Morristown Medical Center for 20 years, holding various positions, including staff nurse in critical care, clinical coordinator of the intensive care unit, and manager of the Pain Management Center, where she conducted various educational programs, developed policies and procedures, monitored quality, revitalized the Pain Resource Program, and was responsible for Joint Commission standards for pain management. As a nurse practitioner, Liza has focused on the geriatric population in skilled nursing facilities. She currently works for ID Care in New Jersey, practicing in skilled nursing facilities as an infectious disease consultant and managing various conditions, including prosthetic infections, influenza, c-diff, UTI, pneumonia, wounds, and skin conditions. Liza conducted a research study on assessment of pain in the non-verbal, critically ill patient. She published and presented her research findings and won the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses Research Oral Poster Presentation Award. Liza also co-authored a book, Compact Clinical Guide to Critical Care, Trauma, and Emergency Pain Management: An Evidence-Based Approach for Nurses.
