Jospeh Shega is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Chicago in the Section of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. He is Board Certified in Intenral Medicine with a certificate of added qualifications in Geriatrics and Hospcie and Palliative Medicine. His clinical interests are improving the medical care of persons with advanced illness including the dying as well as working within an interdisciplinary team. His research interests is the integration of palliative care into the ongoing care of persons with dementia especially the assessment and treatment of pain.
