Amy Bruggemann MSN, APRN-BC, CWS

Amy Bruggemann, received her Nurse Practitioner degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, with an undergrad from Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Amy began her nursing career at the age of 16 as a C.N.A and has worked as a floor nurse, MDS coordinator, and DON. In 2004 Amy joined Specialized Wound Management where she has been the Director of Clinical Operations since 2006. In this role she manages Nurse Practitioners in IL, MO, NE, and KS. The practice sees over 2,500 patients monthly in long-term, acute, and home health care settings. Amy is a certified wound specialist through the American Academy of Wound Management. Amy edits medical books and journals for Springer Publishing Company, does legal nurse consulting, and lectures throughout the country on advanced wound care and related topics.
