Dr. Laurie Connors is an associate professor of nursing at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and board-certified as a family nurse practitioner and advanced practice nurse in genetics. She is a leader in national initiatives to expand nursing genomic education and professional practice. She is a member of the City of Hope Clinical Cancer Genomics Community of Practice and University at Buffalo Genome, Environment and Microbiome Community of Excellence. Dr. Connors served as a content expert for the American Nurses Credentialing Center's advanced genetic nursing certification and is a fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is the recipient of National Institutes of Health Genetics intramural training award resulting in initiatives impacting nursing genomic education, research, and practice and the International Society of Nurses in Genetics Founders' Award of Excellence in Genomic Nursing Education.
