Richard Zelkowitz RPh, MS, FASCP

Richard Zelkowitz is the president of Pharmacon Consulting in New York. He earned his bachelor’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Columbia University. While working as a hospital pharmacist, he attended St. John’s University where he earned a master’s of science degree in institutional pharmacy practice. He was awarded a fellowship from the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. Mr. Zelkowitz joined Pharmacon in 1983 as a part-time consultant pharmacist while working at Cabrini Medical Center in Manhattan as assistant director of pharmacy. He is now one of the principal owners of Pharmacon. Mr. Zelkowitz has lectured extensively on topics ranging from medication administration techniques to the Department of Health survey process. He has also held the position of adjunct clinical instructor of pharmacy at Long Island University College of Pharmacy.
