Arun Karlamangla MD, PhD

Dr. Arun Karlamangla is a professor of medicine in the geriatrics division at UCLA. He earned his PhD degree in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California and his MD from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in geriatric medicine at UCLA School of Medicine and is boarded in both internal medicine and geriatric medicine. Dr. Karlamangla maintains an outpatient geriatric medicine practice for UCLA Health, attends on the inpatient geriatrics unit at UCLA Santa Monica Hospital, and conducts epidemiological research in age-related conditions such as cognitive impairment, osteoporosis, and functional decline. He also serves on the expert panel on older adults for the NIAID COVID-19 Prevention Network.
