Sandy Chen Stokes, Founder and Board Chair of the Chinese American Coalition for Compassionate Care, has focused much of her career and volunteer activities on end of life care, elder care, and mental health issues in the Chinese-American community. In 2009, Sandy received the American Cancer Society’s Lane Adams Quality of Life Award and in 2011, she received the AARP Inspire Award. Currently, Sandy serves on the Advisory Board for the Chinese Health Initiative at El Camino Hospital, and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization’s Diversity Advisory Council.
