Carol Evans GNP

Carol Evans is a Geriatric Nurse Practitioner who recently retired from Kaiser Permanente where she worked as a nurse practitioner for twenty-two years. She started her nursing career in 1970 and has worked in a variety of areas as a nurse, a nurse practitioner, and a nurse educator. The last sixteen years she worked in a specialty movement disorder neurology practice. She provided both medical and post Deep Brain Stimulator surgical management of patients with Parkinson’s disease, Essential Tremor, Dystonia and other movement disorders. Carol was part of a multidisciplinary neuroscience team for Kaiser Permanente Northern California. In addition to patient care, Carol developed educational material for patients and families interested in Deep Brain Stimulation surgery. Carol was also an investigator for the clinimetric studies of the new scale for Parkinson’s disease during the Movement Disorder Society’s sponsored revision of the Unified Parkinson’s Disease Rating Scale.
