Meredith Greene MD

Dr. Meredith Greene is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Geriatrics at the University of California, San Francisco. She is a board-certified geriatrician and American Academy of HIV Medicine Specialist, who is interested in improving healthcare for vulnerable older adults. She is especially interested in the intersection of HIV and geriatric medicine and understanding how to improve care for older adults living with HIV infection. Dr. Greene has conducted research on functional impairment, multiple medication use, and geriatric syndromes in older HIV-positive adults and has developed a new geriatric clinical program embedded within the HIV clinic (Ward 86) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. She is Co-Medical Director to the website HIV-age.org, a collaborative project between the American Geriatrics Society, American Academy of HIV Medicine, and AIDS Community Research Initiative of America. In addition to her clinical work at Ward 86, she provides primary care to frail older adults in their homes through the UCSF Care at Home Program where she serves as the Interim Medical Director.
