Cathy Maxwell PhD, RN

Dr. Cathy Maxwell is a member of the research faculty at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Her research entails understanding the influence of frailty and injury on aging adults and developing interventions to prevent, delay, and reduce the burden of frailty. She is passionate about educating patients, families, providers, and the public-at-large about the concept of frailty, as well as helping others to set informed goals and make plans for the future. She won the 2017 Innovation Award from the National Hartford Center for Gerontological Nursing Excellence for this work.
