Joan Carpenter PhD, CRNP, ACHPN

Dr. Joan Carpenter is a post-doctoral nurse research fellow at the Philadelphia VAMC, implementing quality improvement and research projects focused on palliative care delivery for older adults in the VAMC. She has over twenty years of nursing experience caring for older adults with chronic illness. Joan holds dual certification as an advanced practice palliative care nurse and gerontological nurse practitioner. She was the GAPNA Nominations Committee Chair in 2015 and a National Hartford Center for Gerontological Excellence Scholar (2011-13).
