Susan Sanner PhD, APRN, FNP-BC

Dr. Susan Sanner has held a faculty position at Chamberlain University's Family Nurse Practitioner program, in Downer's Grove, Illinois, since 2014. Prior to that, she taught  in the graduate and undergraduate programs at Clayton State University located in Morrow, Georgia, an Atlanta suburb, for 18 years. She is active in practice as a family nurse practitioner at United Health Care's Optum as a HouseCalls nurse practitioner. She also volunteers at a community clinic that sees indigent patients in the community. All of her practice experiences center on the care of older adults who present with many co-morbidities.  Dr. Sanner has published extensively in professional journals and textbooks on student diversity issues, active teaching and learning strategies, and heart-related and vascular issues.  She is a member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International. She is a charter member of her local chapter, Xi Rho, where she serves as chapter president.
