K. Eric De Jonge MD

Dr. Eric De Jonge serves as the Executive Director of the MedStar House Call Program, serving Washington D.C. and Baltimore. Trained at Johns Hopkins in Primary Care Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, he has led clinical and teaching programs for frail elders and their families for 22 years. He is current President of the American Academy of Home Care Medicine (AAHCM).  He has advocated for 10 years to Congress and to CMS for payment reforms that support interdisciplinary home care medicine.  He leads a successful Medicare Independence at Home (IAH) demonstration site at MedStar Health, and enjoys working with a House Call team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers and coordinator staff.
