Dr. Leslie Evertson is a geriatric nurse practitioner at UCLA Health in Los Angeles, California. She helped to create and has served as the lead dementia care specialist for the UCLA Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Program since 2012. She is the lead trainer for dissemination efforts for the program funded by The John A. Hartford Foundation. She is co-chair of a healthcare system dementia care intervention and the software content expert for a PCORI/NIA-funded pragmatic trial of comparative effectiveness of two models of dementia care (health systems-based and community-based). She graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences with a master of science in nursing as an adult/geriatric nurse practitioner and forensic clinical nurse specialist. Dr. Evertson obtained her doctorate of nursing practice from the Northern California State University Consortium.
