In December 2020, GAPNA published a position statement on nursing home safety within the context of COVID-19 since the pandemic has had a disproportionate impact on residents and staff in long-term care settings. This session focuses on the development and content of the position statement and features GAPNA leaders discussing current regulations related to nursing home safety, along with currently available data on the impact of COVID-19 on older adults residing in long-term care settings and the staff who care for them.
