Many changes under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) are set to take place in 2014, but in order to be prepared to ensure care for patients we need to be focused on preparing now. This session will explore the present and future changes set to take place under the ACA with regard to care for the aging population and discuss how advanced practice nurses can be prepared for the changing workforce needs that will result.

Purpose statement: The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to enhance NP practice and learn the impact of the ACA on the elder adult.
