This presentation reviews how to identify and treat common mental health concerns in homebound older adults, the role of social isolation, trauma-informed approaches to care, and suicide trends in older adults as well as prevention strategies. It also reviews national, evidence-based strategies that have been used to help relieve social isolation and identify mental illness or distress in homebound older adults.
