This advanced session assists advanced practice nurses, DNP students, and graduates in planning their evidence based practice project through design selection, measuring outcomes, and planning data analysis. Strategies to address ethical concerns, getting through the investigational review board (IRB) process, and overcoming barriers are also presented. This session assumes participants have some basic understanding of designs and have a well-developed project question with literature review. The session will include instructional lecture with examples, small group work, and interaction with professional researchers and faculty.
Recommended book to complement course: Johns Hopkins Nursing Evidence-Based Practice Model and Guidelines (2nd ed.).
