Updates in Adult-Gerontological Advanced Practice Nursing (GAPNA and NGNA Joint Webinar)

This webinar discusses updates in adult-gerontological advanced practice nursing. The history of gerontological nursing is described. The roles and scope of practice for the adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner, the adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner, and the adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist are explained. The impact and implementation of the APRN Consensus Model on education, certification and licensure for the nurse practitioner and clinical nurse specialist is discussed. Updates on clinical knowledge and skills for gerontological nursing and advanced practice nurses are reported.
