Many health systems across the country are taking advantage of the telehealth gains made during the COVID19 pandemic and embracing the use of the hospital-at-home model for patients. Hospital-at-home models enable patients who need acute-level care to receive the care in their homes, rather than in a hospital. This care delivery model has been shown to reduce costs, improve outcomes, and enhance the patient experience. In this session, Dr. Joseph White shares his knowledge and expertise as the director of the hospital-at-home program at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
