Megan Pratt is a certified family nurse practitioner and gerontological specialist. She obtained her doctorate degree from Frontier Nursing University, her master’s degree as a family nurse practitioner from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and post-master’s certificate as a nurse educator from the University of Nevada, Reno. She has been a nurse in northern Nevada for over 18 years and has presented at local and national conferences. She is involved with a multimillion-dollar HRSA grant aimed at improving care of elders through community and academic partnerships. She also has a local grant to provide an interdisciplinary wellness clinic weekly at a low-income senior apartment complex. She is a part of the GAPNA Leadership Institute and was awarded the GAPNA Rising Star Award. She is the editor and author of the newly published "Practical Guide to the Gerontological Specialist”. Megan also maintains a wellness practice at Specialty Health in Northern Nevada. She is the track leader of the family nurse practitioner and adult gerontology primary care nurse practitioner programs at the University of Nevada, Reno. She loves being an educator and working closely with our nurse practitioner students to ensure their success.
