Dr. Lynda Mackin is a health science clinical professor at University of California San Francisco School of Nursing and is the specialty coordinator for the adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist tracks at UCSF. Dr. Mackin has 35 years of nursing experience with 29 of those years as an advanced practice nurse. She is board certified as an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner and an adult acute care/critical care clinical nurse specialist. She is also board certified as a gerontological nursing specialist. In addition to her academic work, Lynda has an active home-based primary care practice specializing on care of frail and medically complex older adults.
