This session provides an overview of regulatory and best practice standards related to dementia long-term care. The rationale, evaluation, and application of standards, including CMS interpretive guidelines and the Alzheimer’s Association dementia care practice recommendations, are discussed. Application to practice, including case examples and strategies for interdisciplinary collaboration, are emphasized.
