Health Affairs Committee was made aware of a wonderful scholarship opportunity yesterday through Nursing Community Coalition (NCC). The Lois Capps Health Policy Scholarship Nurse in Washington Internship (NIWI) virtual Conference is April 19-22, 2021.  Applications are due by March 12th. See the link and attachment below for conference details.  

Eligibility Criteria:• Applicant must be a nurse or nursing student and a member of one of the NursingCommunity’s organizations. Applicant must provide proof of membership.• Priority will be given to applicants from the Honorable Lois Capps’s home state ofCalifornia.Application:Candidates must submit a 250-word essay that addresses the following questions:• What sparked your passion for policy?• If applicable, how have you engaged in policy efforts to advance quality patient care atthe state or local level?• How do you believe collaborations empower policy change?Applications should be submitted online no later than March 12, 2021.
