Palliative care symptom management focuses on the relief of uncomfortable symptoms in patients with life-limiting illness. These symptoms may arise as a direct result from advancing disease processes or as a side effect from disease-modifying treatment. This session focuses on pharmacological and adjuvant interventions that alleviate discomfort with a goal of improving quality of life.
