Great presentation
I am with 2 colleagues from our local chapter DVAPN #102 in medial. we got together in Media for general conference in PPE and had so much fun together we could not wait for this Pharm conference.
NP with a Medicare advantage PC program in MSP. I first thought it was a bit "slimy" - ie working for the "dark side," but being almost 2 years old, we do a nice job helping with care that is in keeping with goals of care, etc. Most of my pts I have had for well over a year, and some since when I started in August 2019, so really know them and their families. Would love to interact with others here who are house call NPs in PC.
I have a 101 yo aunt - I am her Health Care DPOA, am like a daughter (they had no kids) and live in MSP. I tried arranging this with the University of Iowa but it looks like they no longer do this and if they do, are not great about following up. She does have a PCP - who signed a POLST - that I interact with. She has no prescription meds, and besides progressive vascular dementia, is non complicated. Sleeps like a baby, no behavior issues -- is her usual sweet and hilarious self. She is in her own home with 24/7 help from HomeSafe. Ideas? Thanks!
Does anyone else have issues with deprescribing statins and anticoagulants because of cardiology? That is my hardest issue with deprescribing
I really like the virtual platform.
I would like out chapter to set up vaccine administration to the underserved population in Kennett. I saw in the chat that some have worked with the fire department. Do you know where I should start to get this set up.
My conference comment would be to have some earlier sessions times- or more on demand
